If there is one thing that spiritual work has taught me, it is to live in Gratitude in every moment of every day.
When I ask my own heart, Why am I here? Why am I in this incarnation? Why am I here on earth?
The answers have always come back the same: I am here to help people. I chose to be here to help at this time. I am here to bring more Love and Light to this world.
To publicly say you are a spiritual person and do Lightwork for a living is to make the greatest commitment of integrity across your public and private life.
It also requires bravery and courage to stand in your Light and Truth, as in my case, I am conveying messages from our ancestors and the spirit realms, from the 5D, Fifth Dimension, and beyond, of higher frequency unconditional love. As humanity evolves, many are still operating at the perfunctory 3D of core human interaction — and thankfully, increasingly at the 4D, of a more loving humanitarian frequency.
For many decades, I checked all the boxes in the 3D, building a professional communications career across corporations, foundations, nonprofits, and government, from Fortune 500 companies to a foundation with more than $1B in assets. As the Director of Communications for a nonprofit in Los Angeles, I worked directly with the White House during the Obama Administration. Early in my career, I worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce during the Clinton Administration. I have directly known all the mayors of San Francisco since the 1990s. While living and working in San Francisco in finance, investing, and technology during the first two tech booms, I knew many self-made billionaires.
Throughout all of that time, I was concurrently doing extensive volunteer and philanthropic work, globally, nationally, and locally. I served on the Board of the UCSF Alliance Health Project, formerly the AIDS Health Project. I visited the ELMA school in rural Cambodia, and then rallied my community around the world to donate more than 1,000 books to help build and stock their libraries. Onsite at the all girls’ Daraja Academy in Kenya, near the equator, I provided pro bono professional photography to help them transform their marketing and fundraising.
When I was 10 years old, I started working three jobs: babysitting, pet sitting, and as a photographer for my parents’ wedding and portrait photography business. As soon as my siblings and I could hold cameras steady, we were additional satellites and extensions of our parents, at countless client weddings and portrait sitting sessions. It is still true that no one can take candid photos of anyone in our family. We always know where the cameras are.
From the humble roots of my childhood as a first generation daughter of immigrants who survived the Chinese Civil War, the Japanese invasion of China, World War II, and the Communist takeover, we had to work. It was made clear to me from my parents from early in childhood that everyone had to show up and contribute. All three generations of family from grandparents to parents to children, and then back up the line, pitched in for the households and to take care of each other.
Work, in a Chinese immigrant household, is the lifeblood of taking care of your family.
Though I didn’t have children myself, I am one of six children and helped raise my three younger siblings.
In the latter decades of my mother’s life, my older sisters and I were hypervigilant in our love and care for her through her health care needs, many hospitalizations, and finally palliative end-of-life care.
For many years, the intuitive pings were getting louder and louder for me to be dedicating myself full time to spirituality and Lightwork.
When my mother passed, her Light became a part of me and made it inevitable that I would finally and fully live in my truth as someone who quite honestly spends more time communicating with the dead than the living.
It took years of my building up the courage, plus a move from San Francisco to Los Angeles, for me to go fully public with my spiritual work, as I serve as an energy healer, and a psychic bridge between embodied humans, our pure energy ancestors, and intergalactic allies who help serve as our Guides.
I am grateful for all of the other Wayshowers, for Lightworkers who came before me, who trained me — starting with my mother when I was 3 years old — and stood in their Light and Truth, so that I could see we can do this together. The more of us who are public about our spiritual beliefs, of our knowingness that there is more to this life than … work … the more we help all beings remember we live this Oneness together and all are Divinely Loved.
It is the greatest honor of my life to be trusted to communicate with people’s ancestors, both from the perspective of those of us who are still living, to our ancestors themselves who so lovingly show up to relay their eternal love and wise Guidance.
Work is the divinity and alignment of what, and for whom, we choose to show up. It is where we choose to spend our time, channel our energy, and to serve with devotion.
How we prioritize our time and our lives is a direct reflection of what we believe in and of how we want the world to be.
And, as everyone who has taken care of Loved Ones of all kinds know, Love is always the No. 1 Priority.
Sometimes the most important work I do is refining the palliative care for my Senior Kitizen cats. They’re on an all-soup diet with feedings every 5-6 hours. It’s similar to taking care of infants. I just won’t have to save for college tuition.
